Friday to Monday 10 August Mum has her little boy with her now ! James arrived on Saturday after we left Airlie and spent Friday night with Murray, Julie, Tim and Torie on Murray’s boat, Benetta in Cid Harbour. It is a very popular anchorage as it is attractive and safe. On Saturday (the arrival day of HRH) Chris was up early cooking for her little boy and we left Cid to head down to Hamilton to pick up Jimmy. On the way we were involved in a “marine rescue” – not too serious a couple of kids had flooded the engine on their tinny and we had to tow them (twice!) to the mouth of Hamilton Harbour. We then took a public mooring on the other side of Dent Passage and came over to Hamilton it pick up James – we did it from the beach. Once we had James on board we sailed around to Whitehaven Beach and spent the night there- it was lovely. Next morning we sailed up to Dumbell Island at Murray’s suggestion – good call. We stopped there for lunch and lovely snorkel. Lots of coral and fish it was very pleasant. Sunday night we spent in Macona Inlet and we had everyone over for dinner. Chris as usual turned on a gourmet dinner and today we plan to go to Butterfly Bay for snorkelling.
