Monday to Friday 7/8/9 We had a great sail to Airlie Beach (Abel Point Marina, actually) and have been here for a few days doing a few boat jobs and enjoying marina life. Met up with a few people from boats we’d seen before, Tom and Nancy and Peter and Elizabeth, good fun. On Tuesday night we went to the yacht club for dinner with Tom and Nancy and would you believe we bumped into John Hudson, a guy I used to work with a DEC a hundred years ago. It was great to catch up and Huddo very kindly took us shopping in his car. Thanks Mate !! Today, Friday we leave Abel Point with another boat skippered by Murray and Julie Sheer. It will be fun to catch up with them up here. Murray is involved with a charter company here at Airlie.
